Karen Chalmers has completed a Post Graduate Certification in EMDR Trauma Therapy and travelled to Sri Lanka and Haiti to work with 1st Responders and others with PTSD due to natural disasters. Her service in church leadership is currently with Senior Adults and Missionaries. All of her international travel and work gives her the ability to relate well cross-culturally. In her couples’ work, she has been trained in and utilizes the Gottmann method for healthy relationships. She has been a speaker for church groups, schools, and on the radio in LA and Miami. She brings additional life experience into her counseling sessions, as she and her husband have been married 35 years, and have had the joy of raising three Adult Children. They have been challenged with Aging Parent issues, and family loss.
Her clients include individuals and couples dealing with life and relationship issues, and those struggling with traumatic memories, who seek a balanced approach to healing with emotional, spiritual and physical components.
